" HABAGAT " The "hanging habagat" is also known as the southwest monsoon. As a result, a low-pressure area develops over the continent. This happens when a large mass of air rises, causing low pressure in the area the mass left empty and inducing air from over the ocean to flow towards the continent. The winds, rushing toward the low-pressure area, carry heat and water vapor which, when passing across the Philippines, becomes the prevailing winds in the country.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - July 30, 2012, Two consecutive weather disturbances hit the northern part of the country -- Typhoon "Gener" with an international codename Saola, and the on going southwest monsoon. Manila was the one of the worst hit areas due to flooding and left approximately 26 persons dead and alsmost 200,000 displaced. Despite of the calimty, some of the people affected with the disaster still managed to lighten up the situation. Here are some photos of people who did not care much of the situation.
